From Our Family to Yours

Our story starts at the kitchen table
As a mother of seven, our founder’s home was always full, of kids, neighbors, and the smell of something good cooking. What began as sharing meals with her children and their friends grew into cooking for families, coworkers, and the wider community. Soon, 300 home-cooked meals a week were leaving her kitchen, bringing comfort to people across the neighborhood.
More Than Just Food
When life took an unexpected turn and she lost her job, that same kitchen became the birthplace of something new: Urban Tables. Rooted in community and driven by care, Urban Tables was built to ease the pressure on busy families and to make good food accessible to everyone.Along the way, Urban Tables became more than food. It became a vehicle for empowerment providing opportunities for young people, partnering with refugees and immigrants, and reminding everyone of the power that comes from sharing a meal together.
